12.02.23 Ascension Lutheran Church Super Pantry Food Drive

On December 2, 2023, APHF volunteers dedicated time to help at the different food stations during the Super Pantry food drive event organized at Ascension Lutheran Church.

The range of food given out was impressive: besides staples like bags of rice, shelled walnuts, lentils, raisins, pork scallops from the main station, there were canned vegetables and fruits, plus watermelon bought by the church, and fresh produce: apples, pears, and sweet potatoes donated by other organizations.

Following the food drive, the organizers recognized APHF Co-Founder and preceptor Dr. Binh Tran for driving all the way from LA to volunteer! Overall, the Super Pantry event was a success, and APHF volunteers are welcome to participate in the food distribution drive-thru on first Fridays of the month, as well as every Tuesday and Saturday from 8:30am - 10:30am.
