These leadership roles are open to undergraduate students and postgraduate (alumni) only.

The American Pacific Health Foundation (APHF) is a nonprofit organization that provides education and health screenings for underrepresented communities across San Diego for silent diseases such as viral hepatitis, metabolic syndrome, and tuberculosis.

 

Our team is looking to expand our leadership team and clinical volunteer base. Team members at all levels of leadership within APHF can pursue or join projects (e.g. improving outreach logistics, creating educational content, starting research projects) that benefit APHF and the services we bring to the community. This will be a minimum 1+ year volunteer commitment until September 30st, 2024. For more information about open positions, please keep reading below!

Program Coordinator:
• Organize and lead events such as screening and education outreaches. Primarily
responsible for aspects related to the Core Volunteer Program, including volunteer
recruitment, training, event attendance, etc.

Program Intern (PI):


• Support and learn from other staff members, in addition to managing the Medical
Interpreter Program. Develop core leadership and project management skills that are
applicable to many other roles across healthcare.

*Note the Program Coordinator & Intern roles will have a joint application. Submitting the following application can put you into consideration for both positions. Our team will extend offers to the position that best suits an applicant’s skills, experience, etc. If you prefer one position over the other, please indicate your preference in your written response!

Applications are due on August 4th, 2023 at 11:55pm PDT. Please note that all accepted applicants must be able to attend an interview on August 12th or 13th, 2023.
