APHF partnered with the Lions Club to host a canned food drive in front of Walmart located on Murphy Canyon Road. APHF was able to educate shoppers coming in and out of Walmart about diabetes. Volunteers handed out flyers that contains a QR code which leads to multiple resources in educating patients about diabetes, in celebration of the National Diabetes Month.
APHF also helped the Lions Club to collect canned food by handing out flyers with information to help shoppers with the donation. We were very gratefully able to collect more than 100 non-perishable food cans! APHF greatly appreciate Lions Club for having us participate in such memorable educational outreach and all the shoppers who donated non-perishable food cans and allowed APHF in diabetes education!
