Asian Pacific Health Foundation held an information packed session for Point Loma Nazarene University (PLNU) class on Race and Ethnicity last Monday, October 15, 2018 at the Vietnamese Federation of San Diego office. Sixteen students were in the class. This was the second time APHF returned to PLNU. The first time was on 11- 2016 on the beautiful campus, with Arman Altug, speaker from Hepatitis Education Project.

The presentations went very well. Dr. Kayla Giang, Executive Director, presented on Hepatitis B Among Asian Americans, and Dr. Binh Tran, Program Director, spoke on Expanding the role of Pharmacists in the Public Health Field. There were many questions for both topics. Some Nursing students are interested in volunteering at APHF for their community practice hours. They are directed to contact Megan Cheng and other coordinators at info@aphfsd.org.

We thank Dr. Kevin Modesto, Chair of Sociology and Social Work Department for the invitation. Attached are some pictures taken before and during the meeting.

Sincerely,

Binh Tran, PharmD & Kayla Giang, PharmD
