On April 9, 2022, APHF joined the UCSD chapter of the American Medical Student Association (AMSA) and various health organizations at Montgomery-Waller Park in San Ysidro. Volunteers set up the tent alongside local San Ysidro/San Diego organizations along with Kaiser Permanente and others. Though a windy forecast, volunteers and coordinators provided medical services to families and individuals of various age groups.
Food and entertainment were provided courtesy of UCSD’s American Medical Student Association and other UCSD performing arts organizations such as UCSD Pep Band and UCSD Duly Noted a cappella group. We thank the coordinators of AMSA for inviting us to participate in our second health fair led by them after the COVID-19 pandemic.
